Motherisms

I was going to write about the appalling Katie Hopkins. but what is there to say really. The reason for her  getting into the country is very wrong. You could hardly say she is subtle and neither is my mother.

Mother refers to her GP doctor as Doctor Dumbo. Her heart specialist is Doctor No Knickers as he made her take off her underwear for an entering via the groin procedure.

She found a doctor's prescription she did not recognise and was not taking and dispatched ABI Brother to the local pharmacy. The chemist called the doctor who said he changed the heart medication because Mother insisted she was allergic to it. Mother is a great taker of drugs but there is always one she is allergic to that is responsible for her bad health and nothing to do with her being 87 years old with normal  illnesses of the elderly.

Australia deported this person who should have never been let in.

  1. Oh dear does that mean we have to take her back?

    1. Yeah Marie. Not used to taking convicts back are you.

  2. Sigh on the mother front. My mother rarely took her medication as prescribed. Very rarely.
And yes, that Katie Hopkins should never have been allowed in, and wasn't deported too soon.

    1. EC, I am sure you have memories of controversial people who have been let in and I can't imagine why she was let in. Well, of course it was $$$.

  3. Good lord your mother sounds like a huge challenge. I'm trying to avoid being such a being. But I do admire and respect my medical team.

I missed Hopkins news, and wonder what she was up to and far too lazy to google.

    1. WWW, she is quite a challenge but I am sure she doesn't want to be and at times apologises for what we have to do for her. Hopkins in nothing more than a deluded and shockingly divisive rabid right winger. Not a nice person.

  4. I googled her. My god. I wish these people would go back under the rocks they crawled from beneath.

I don't suppose you could use Katie Hopkins to show your mother what happens to women who do not take their medication?

  5. I shall have to google Katie. I saw the headlines in the paper but didn't bother reading.
I've had medications that caused trouble so each time I went back to the doctor and he changed it. It was always the blood pressure one causing severe heartburn, so now I take a pill for that along with the blood pressure tab each morning.

    1. River, that's interesting about medication. You have to take it, even if it doesn't agree with you, but there are ways around it.

  6. Hopkins is a vicious right-wing British commentator who has been repeatedly condemned over a long history of anti-Muslim verbal attacks and for blaming a Jewish Rabbi for provoking the Pittsburgh synagogue murders. She invoked the Final Solution against immigrants.

Shame on our government for issuing her a visa in the first place.

    1. Hels, of course no one takes responsibility. Feds blame NSW. NSW blame Feds. Immigration matters are Federal, so it is the Morrison government to blame.

  7. Hopkins is a bizarre woman, she has absolutely no shame in her outbursts. I imagine she is one of those people who have painted themselves into a corner, and now lives off her infamy as someone we all love to hate!

    1. Cro, you have nailed her in one sentence. Her success comes from her outrageousness.

  8. I hate to think of the Trans people watching Celeb BB with both Caitlyn Jenner, who in my opinion has heaps of internalized Transphobia, and Katie Hopkins who has made numerous Transphobic statements. I guess both of these right wing supporters fit in with the toxic culture towards queer folks that a lot of the mainstream media puts out.
I am glad she has left our great country. Sorry UK, but it costs too much so send a person to Mars and our "Grubbermint" appear to be cheapskates, so your are the recipients.

    1. Pippa, thanks for the education on popular culture. Do you think Hopkins would be a good experimental person to send to Mars?

    2. I do not think she would be a good experimental person to send at all Andrew, apart from studying the length of survival, but Mars has the advantage of being very far away, with zero chance of her returning.

  9. Vial is the Katie Hopkins, I too don't know why she was given permission to enter our country, good riddance.
You make me smile regarding your mum - I'm not fond of taking pills and if prescribed for any reason I don't take them. Sometimes Dr's just give people scripts because it's easy - yes, only sometimes.

    1. Margaret, depending on what the pills are prescribed for but if for serious matters, I really would hope you take them.

  11. Your mom has an interesting sense of humor when it comes to naming people.(lol) Reminds me of a guy I used to work with years ago. It's no fun to take meds,(believe me I know-lol), but needs to be done. Sending out hugs, RO

    1. RO, Mother can still amuse us at times. I take 9 pills in the morning, 2 at lunch time and six before dinner. I know, believe me.

  12. Its ridiculous that the govt can let that crazy woman into Australia while real Aussies can't get back.
Your mum sounds entertaining. Luckily I don't take any medication.

    1. Indeed it is ridiculous Diane. She should have been on a no entry list, like a number of people are.
Mother is ever entertaining, not always in a good way. I'm amazed you don't take medication, but I bet someone in your household does.

  13. On the flip side, it was impressive how quickly Australia reacted to Hopkins and her lunacy and got her OUT again. At least they deported her forthwith.

    1. True Steve. Once it was know what she was about. The tv station who brought her here kind of fudged responsibility. Ultimately, it was the Federal Gov who granted the visa.

  14. We can still send you Nigel Farage and Melanie Phillips.

    1. I don't know Phillips, Tasker. Ok, not quite as bad as Hopkins. Odd that she began her career with The Guardian.

  15. Was Hopkins really deported? Presumably she would have been prepared to leave of her own accord once her job and visa were cancelled.

    1. MC, as much I would have liked her to spend a couple of days at Villawood, I doubt she was deported like most would be who had visas cancelled. But sometimes we can be too literal and deported is good enough for me.
