It's not really a mural but just metal figures attached to wall in Queen Street, Altona, just off Pier Street.
I really like it - and think that it does qualify as a mural. One definition of mural is 'is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other permanent surfaces.'
There you go EC. It is a mural then.
Yes, I like it!
Thank you Thilda. How did you get to this post?
I'm a fan of street art. Just took of metal moose. If decent photo I will post this week.Coffee is on and stay safe
I hope you do post it Dora.
I have never seen metal figures attached to wall before. Sharp lines, limited colours and attractive figures!
Hels, all reasons why it works as art in this case.
Probably easier to scrub graffiti from!It has a ‘nice’ clean sharp look about it which I like(Tried to comment several times today - hoping this goes through)
Good point Cathy.
Good to see they are yet to be sprayed over. My near neighbour makes similar metal figures, but of Deer, Wild Boar, Chicken, etc.
Cro, metal figures of those must be great. See if you can get some photos.
I like it :)I saw some pretty good wall art this morning, I was early for my doctor appointment so instead of going in and sitting down to read, I walked up and down the side street a few times. one one wall there is a giant blue octopus, so I wrote that down and will walk that way again soonish and take my camera. I have to be home for the next few days for deliveries of stuffs I bought online.
River, that sounds like a good find. I make a note on my phone when I see a mural and need to go back to take a photo. It is so easy to forget where it is. What have you been shopping for online?
DVDs and books and a mini bongo drum.
See how the land undulates beneath the flat people's feet.
The beach is close by. I would guess they are sand dunes.
Commercially commissioned Travel but still art.
It is a nice mural Andrew, I'll add it to my Monday Murals. Thanks :)
Thank you Sami.
Evolution of a kind?
Just bad posture ME.
The couple bringing up the rear have been married for a few months and are just now coming back down to earth.
With a smooth landing I hope, Cynthia.
I guess it counts! I don't think a mural has to be a painting, necessarily.
Apparently it doesn't Steve.
Still street art Andrew, I like the simplicity of the silhouettes.
Before you change something, find out why it is the way it is in the first place - unknown.
