Card Game and Busy

You choose your card from those displayed and at the end you are not shown the card you chose but that your card has been removed from those on display. I thought it was very puzzling until R and I played it simultaneously and his different card was missing too. It then clicked. All the cards displayed are different to what is first displayed, with the space where your card was presumably removed. Simple and clever.

R has lost a written document on the desktop and is rewriting it while uttering many bad words, then we are out for dinner.

I'll see if I can post something later today. If not, have a great weekend.

  1. How embarrassing. My early morning and attention to detail is obviously worse than I knew.
I hope that R's document wasn't too long (and feel for him) and that dinner out was wonderful for you both.

  2. Dense as a post, moi. Finally understood your explanation. The first time I played I "picked" the card in the lower right. Naturally it disappeared and I was impressed. Today I picked the card in the lower left. I was expecting it to disappear from that very spot. It didn't. Light finally dawned.

  3. When you mentioned cards I thought you were speaking metaphorically - about the cards we are dealt in life - or indeed those we choose.

  7. Could not follow that thing about the card game. But it's late at night and my brain has frozen over.

  9. Huh! I did not notice all the cards displayed are not the same originals. I'm pretty useless at card tricks like that.

  10. If you open the "Word" program, it's possible the missing document may have been auto saved to there.
