Votre tarif s'il vous plaît Mme Gattina

Actually, I don't think Gattina is much into catching trams, and certainly not at the moment. They don't run to Waterloo anyway.

They are may be not quite as cute as the trams of Lisbon but aren't these Brussels trams cute little things. I thought the photos were reasonably recent but given there aren't routes 35 or 52 now so far as I can see, maybe the photos are quite old. Brussels seems to have modern and larger trams now. I don't know to who to credit the photos.

  1. They are indeed very cute. Not only do I think that old buildings often have more beauty/charm the same applies to most vehicles.

  2. Whoever took them, they're nice photos! The trams make me think of the quaint little cars from the early Pink Panther movies filmed in Europe. They seemed SO European!

    1. Steve, I don't think I saw the Pink Panther movies. Maybe just one with David Niven.

  3. Buses are horrible - smelly, polluting and dangerous to the cars. The trams you show are not competing with the traffic and look peaceful.

  4. That is a ducky tram.
The first photo the weather looks bleak and second one is more inviting for some reason, do favour the colour of it too.

    1. Yes Margaret, doesn't the tram look so good in the snow.

  5. The angled front window gives them a 'futuristic' look; the rest being quite dull in comparison. That yellow is the colour of our postmen/women's cars.

    1. Cro, better than the huge fish bowl windows on modern trams, all in the name of style rather than practicality. Not a bad shade of yellow really.

  6. I like the yellow, makes it easy to see them coming in gloomy weather.

    1. Good heavens River. You are thinking like a passenger. That just is not the way public transport managers think.

    2. Perhaps they should think like passengers. We might get decent service that way.

  8. Those are darn cute, omg, I'd like to ride one of those, just because they're so good looking, at least on the outside.
