Correction

Local comedian Denise Scott's son and daughter in law live in Nashville in the US. They produce music and are doing so while locked down by their own choosing. They are fearful about being out and about among COVID careless people.

Now, to the matter of 3 year warranty that wasn't asked for on the tv headphones. We visited the store to get our credit, but no. It was explained thus. The retail price was $150 and the salesman gave you a $20 discount, and then a further $30 discount to $100 which was not a real discount because a $30 3 year warranty that was added. Had you declined the the 3 year warranty, the price of the headphones would have been $130, which is what you paid but you get a three year warranty thrown in.

I hope that is clear. We are not unhappy but it should have been explained to us at the time.

Today is mask up day here today. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. We have been masking on and off for a few days.

I will visit Mother after three weeks of not doing so. There are things about he home sale that need to be sorted out, which is what I will tell the police if I am pulled over and asked to explain my travel. I've already told her I won't be taking her to the shops.

All so serious. How about a contented cat video? Give it time.

  1. Love the photo bomber. Am awed by the strength and agility of the person they bombed.
Sigh on the extended warranty malarkey.
    And please stay safe.

  2. We are masking up from Friday in shops etc. It has been mandatory on public transport for a while. Judging by the number of people who don't wear them on buses I doubt they will wear them in shops.

  3. Andrew, the masks can be restricting when you have long term polyp nasal restriction. It's quite a relief to get back indoors and take them off.

Did you like Bloggers new interface today. I didn't so I reverted back to the old interface. Why throw out a comfy pair of slippers if they fit you so well.

  4. The extended warranty 'malarkey' (as EC so perfectly described it) seems like a way to fudge numbers for either the salesperson or head office, or maybe to provide statistics to persuade future customers that X% of buyers choose them. Bah! Smoke and mirrors, and for what nefarious purpose we will likely never know.

Masks are only mandatory here for certain things such as haircuts. I find the cloth masks very hot and am tempted to postpone my upcoming haircut - yet again - until cooler weather because I mind the heat and humidity so much. As in, getting lightheaded and feeling faint. Maybe I just need to wear one at home more to get acclimatized. In any case, where they're required, I'll be wearing one.

A tad confusing on the headphones.

The above music producer is the brother of a friend of mine. Both men grew up in Maryborough, a town just north of Gympie.

Mark's production credits include: Keith Urban /the Ranch, the Saints, Yothu Yindi, the Divinyls, Neil & Tim Finn, Ross Wilson, Slim Dusty, Tony Joe White, Stacey Earle, O’Shea, Jasmine Rae, Deana Carter, Leslie Mills (with John Shanks & the Dust Brothers), Gloriana, Adam Gregory, Jason Aldean remixes.

Keep taking good care, Andrew. I hope your mother is doing okay...and keeping well. :)

  8. Mother will miss her visits to the shops, but I'm sure she will understand.
That's a sneaky way of getting you a three year warranty on the headphones.
I can't imagine doing a headstand, all that body weight bearing down on neck and shoulders? No thanks.

  9. A very long time ago (during my 1970s foray into yoga) I could do that. All to do with centre of gravity and balance......which have certainly left the body now:)
The cat was certainly the one to look at. Love ginger cats. Gosh I miss my cats.

  10. So the $30.00 warranty was throw in for free, I get that.
Have a good visit with your mum, some things just can't be done over the phone when it comes to such matters. Love the video :)

  12. Still laughing at the cat video Andrew, thanks 😁😁 Back to seriously stuff, I'm so sorry things have gotten serious again, now if only this time people will pull their head in and do the right thing hopefully things will pick up again, it's going to be a sorry Christmas if borders remain shut. I'm glad you sorted out the business with the headphones, it was all a bit confusing 😉

  13. I guess their explanation about the price was as good as any.

  14. LOL -- I'm not sure I understand about the headphones but I'll take your word for it! You're the one who needs to be happy with the results, after all. Our "masking up" day is tomorrow, too!

OMG -- cat video was HILARIOUS.

  15. That's so funny, the cat plopping in front of the selfie video, without regard.
