Bit of a laugh

I'll plead Leap Year ignorance for not posting yesterday.

Some translation is required and you will probably have to click on it to read it.

Moccies are moccasin slippers
A  slab I think is 2 dozen cans of beer in a pack.
Glenroy and Jacana Stations are on the way to Broadmeadows.
I think most people know what a mullet hairstyle is.
Dole is unemployment benefit from the government.
Moe is known by some as a rough town, pronounced Mo-e.

So now you know all about the Melbourne suburb of Broadmeadows.

  1. It is fun. I note that the corners of the board ALL relate to jail, and there is no free parking.

  2. I haven't played Monopoly in decades. It used to be fun to play when I was younger.

me too. In the days before tv arrived, or on rainy days when outdoor play was difficult, Monopoly was huge fun.

  3. Sounds like a pretty rough suburb. People used to move to those places because they thought they were safer!

  4. I'll stick with the original Monopoly...not that I've played a game of Monopoly in many, many years.

When we were kids and teenagers we played it a lot. It was a fun game.

I hope you said "White Rabbits" first off this morning, Andrew! Have a good week. :)

  5. Is that an actual available to buy version? I'd be forever landing on one of the many go to jail squares.

  6. I made my own version which is called 'Stereopoly'. It was based on our life between two countries, and involved lots of silliness. I still have it a loft somewhere.

  11. LOL - no actual "Go" on the whole board. I suppose it's not so much fun if you have to live there though.
