Nigel, do tell us what you really think.
While I agree with some of what I've heard from England's UKIP party, it is strong on rhetoric and a very divisive party and not good for community building.
One shouldn't make fun of people's names but UKIP's newly elected leader is Richard Braine. I am not sure if the world uses the same nickname for Richard like we do.
Meanwhile former leader Nigel Farage is in Sydney and The Guardian reports he has a addressed a Sydney's Conservative Political Action Conference and boy did he rip into the Royal Family.
From The Guardian on the late Queen Mother,
slightly overweight, chain-smoking gin drinker who lived to 101 years old
On Prince Charles,
Charlie Boy is now in his 70s … may the Queen live a very, very long time.”
On Prince Harry,
Well, if I want the Queen to live a long time to stop Charlie Boy becoming king, I want Charlie Boy to live even longer and William to live forever to stop Harry becoming king
On Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and there is some truth in this,
And then he met Meghan Markle, and it’s fallen off a cliff. We’ve been told in the last week that Meghan and Harry will only have two children … and we’re all completely ignoring, the real problem the Earth faces, and that is the fact the population of the globe is exploding but no one dares talk about it, no one dares deal with it
On Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, again some truth is within but very poorly put,
You’ve now got someone conservative, mainstream media [and] those in the middle of Melbourne and Sydney may not like him … but out where real people live, they voted for him.
Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThere is some truth in what he says. Just the same I am not a fan.
Farage is a worse thug than Thump. He blames the over stretching of Public Health services on immigrants with HIV and TB; he blamed British crime on Romanians; he said no one speaks English in London any more; and he blamed Jewish banks in the USA for financial crime in Britain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a human being :(
It's all right for you. Before too long he'll be back here stirring things up and you'll be able to forget about him.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this guy, but it seems he's definitely not afraid to voice how he really feels! Hugs, RO

ReplyDeleteThanks for imparting Nigel's views on the Royal Family! LOL
ReplyDeleteDon't know too much about Farage. Truthfully, I am sick to death of people telling me what I should and should not think or believe.
Ditto, Maribeth's comment.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what Farage thinks...I wasn't even aware he was here in Australia...that's how interested in him I am. Perhaps his nom de plume is "Richard Cranium"!
I'd never heard of Farage before reading this and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know any more about him.
ReplyDeleteWell we have lots of mouthy politicians and what have you here too, and of course they're all over facebook and other social media, all the worlds people screaming at once seems like. I can do without.
