You are warned
Maribeth's mother told her about the evils of swearing and Maribeth doesn't like swearing and I am not so keen on it either. There is swearing in this video and by someone who I think is too young to swear in a professional performance. But I am old and I know young people use such words at the drop of a hat and place little importance on such words. Click play at your own peril. Nevertheless, I think it is quite funny and the performance was before the Brexit vote. Originally posted by Gosia.

Agreed.
ReplyDeleteHe is too young for those words in a professional performance. Which is hypocritical of me because he probably uses them off stage when he thinks he can get away with it.
On balance, despite the humour, this one is not for me.
EC, essentially my reaction too. The world has changed.
DeleteI've had my fucking fill of Brexit ( I'm a remainer) but. This made me laugh
ReplyDeleteGood John. Yes, I know you want to stay. I don't know the general Welsh view on stay or go.
DeleteI need a laugh this morning after a five hour power outage last night. We had several severe lightning strikes and our vast satellite set top box has been damaged. We cant watch any tv now so the song has cheered me up.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, five hours without power? You must surely be dead. I hope things can be fixed easily for you.
DeleteFunny it might be, but I won't watch it. There'll be enough swearing in the air around here when I attempt to change my blog theme later, so people can see the link to my Wednesday Words stories.
ReplyDeleteRiver, ok for your to swear, but not a 16 year old. I feel your pain.
DeleteYes i saw that some time ago and thought it was a bit poor having a child swearing like that even though I know they do.
ReplyDeleteDiane, isn't it really so problematic. Hearing a 16 year old swear on the street would not be so troublesome. Is Granny ready to slap down her grands when they swear?
DeleteThat is rather funny and had me laughing - as for swearing, not into it myself.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, perhaps we could say swearing can be used for effect, and it certainly was in this clip.
DeleteI've not seen that before; very funny. I may even post it on my page one day, when we're totally in the sh*t (with your approval, of course).
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Cro. I stole it from someone who stole it from someone else.
DeleteI just loved their waist-coats !!!
ReplyDeleteWaist-coats! Like your work Lady J.
DeleteYIKES! I have a rough time hearing a kid do the swearing thing, but I'm all in for a laugh in most instances. Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteChallenging RO.
DeleteLoved that!
ReplyDeleteStrayer, it was fairly funny I thought, in spite of everything else.
DeleteI read somewhere that being around people who swear is good for you, can't remember why 😀😀😀
ReplyDeleteGrace, interesting. Do we feel more relaxed or perhaps superior?
DeleteThe HH's view on curse words is that it shows a lack of creativity in one's vocabulary. Sadly that lack of creativity frequently seeps into my verbage:)
ReplyDeleteSandra, we all do it but hopefully appropriately.
