  1. It has been foul. My heart goes out to everyone enduring those temperatures. Glad that a cool change has hit now.

    1. EC, I know you are suffering badly. Let's just say, six weeks to go.

    2. Six weeks? over on this side of the border, the heat lasts far longer than that.

    3. River, we will hit March in six weeks won't we? Surely it will cool a bit then.

  2. We knew in advance what was coming so I filled up two buckets of fresh water, in case the water ran out. And I turned off all the electricity in the house (except the freezer and computer), in case the state-wide supply was turned off.

As it turned out, the water was fine but we (in the south eastern suburbs) lost all electricity for 3.25 hours. Bugger hell... life in 44c temps without electricity sucks!

    1. Hels, I am very interested in you losing power for so long. I suspect it was not a supply problem but an infrastructure problem.

  3. 43 is harsh enough, hope it doesn't get too much hotter for you.

    1. River, I have been monitoring your and EC's temps, and I know it has not been great for you either.

  4. Omg! We've been so lucky over here, it's actually been a bit chilly with rain. We do still have all of February and that's often the hottest month. Keep cool you two 😱

    1. Grace, you have had some really hot weather. It may be cool for you now, well not that cool really, but it will soon heat up again.

  5. You certainly had it hot there Andrew. Always good to have a cool change when it arrives.

    1. Margaret, while our cool changes arrive across Bass Strait, yours must come from the inland. Hobart looked cool enough.
