Strange gay photo

BAD is on Easter Island.

This is a very odd work of art. I have no idea where it came across it aside from it being posted on someone's Tumblr. It is so easy to right click and save without noting and author or artist.

None who are depicted are my type, but it is interesting that as the workers go about their work, a couple of them are skiving off and having a bit of fun at a depot de pain or a boulangerie, or maybe one of the workers has picked up some passing street trade. I did spend one minute researching the work and came up with nothing. Whatever, as a work of art, I quite like it, but just not on our walls.

  1. It is such a fun piece to see. And no, they are not my type either.

    1. EC, we shall maintain our adherence to types, even though we can't be terribly choosy.

  2. I can't see why there is a '?' over the delivery man's head. Have I missed something?

    1. Cro, could be peripheral vision about what is happening in the laneway. I missed the question mark.

  3. I notice the question mark

  4. The question mark is that delivery person wondering where his sidekick has got to.
It's an interesting picture, but wouldn't suit my walls either.

    1. Well done River, and I reckon you are correct. Look at the guy in the lane's same cap, pushed back. I am hopeless to have not spotted that.

  5. That's rather seldom and a bit naive painting. Have you heard what a speech the pope made in Ireland about homosexuality ? Parents should send the kids to a psy ! In Russia it's still illegal !! What a stupid world !

    1. No Gattina, I did not hear that and it sounds very disturbing. I will have a look at this. Gay porn is pouring out of Russia, even though gay sex acts are illegal.

  6. Ok, the secret trick. Right click on the image and select "search google for image"

Hey presto, this is "Hot Buns, for Burl & Fur" by Ricardo Bessa. He has his own website, facebook page and twitter. (links to follow in the next comment)

You can search any image via Google Image Search, too. Have you never seen an episode of Catfish? :)

    2. Snoskred, I had never noticed that on the right click menu. Terrific, thanks. He has made some good art. Catfish? I ate some once. It was quite nice. Ok, I have Googled and 30 seconds later, I am not sure that I like the sound of the show of people being set up to fail.

  9. Yes, quite unusual, but I love the bold colors and I like the flight of fancy! I went to his page and viewed the other pieces. What an amazing talent. Very different from the classical art that I tend to love. But my young grandniece is artistically inclined with a style that is quite similar, only she tends to stay with teenage space kids. Great post!

    1. Maribeth, via your grandchildren you will be learning about all sorts of things that you have no real interest in or knowledge of. That's not a bad thing.

  11. The big guy is dressed like a worker but the other, can't tell. It is kind of a story of life, as some work diligently others take just out of sight are engaged in a lustful encounter, or something else, maybe catching kittens behind the shop.
