Somewhere north of the city in Nicholson Street, I suppose Brunswick, is a building with a ground level car park and these murals within. The artist seems to have the name Lushsux. It was a little dim so some of the photos are not so good. Should I look up Lushsux and find out if Lush does suck or not? Ok, here we go. Well, I am not sure what to make of this site. Let's just enjoy his work.
I really like this one. I wonder if it is a self portrait.
I feel I should know who this character is.
Oh I love these. It's sort of modern Anime Art! The last one sort of reminds me of the character, Shrek, but in people form, not monster form.
ReplyDeleteAlso the one with the kangaroo also appeals to the wild animal lover in me.
Wonderful murals, Andrew. Thanks for sharing.
Maribeth, maybe I am thinking of Shrek. I too really like the kangaroo work.
DeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteAnd a visit to the artist's site shows some incredible artistry, and some disturbing images.
EC, there are a couple his I would like to track down myself to see.
DeleteVery interesting murals . I like the first one but not sure about the others. I don't think I would walk to the end of the world to see one.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I went to the other side of town to photograph, admittedly after noticing them as I passed by. They are not grand murals, quite small, but I thought quite cute.
DeleteHow can you be certain the artist is a HIS, the first pic suggests otherwise or both.
ReplyDeleteVest, and I assumed it is a him???
DeleteI like the murals, that last one could be Shrek in modern clothes.
ReplyDeleteCool, River, I bow to your greater knowledge of movies etc.
DeleteI like the second one best, but they all nice.
ReplyDeleteThe last one reminds me of Shrek.
Sami, I agree about Shrek. I just couldn't quite remember him, or it.
DeleteNo No not Shrek it is a caricature of Andrew in dismal mode.
ReplyDeleteVest, at the moment, you are probably not wrong.
DeleteInteresting work.
ReplyDeleteLee, not Banksy, but yes, a bit interesting.
DeleteWell Lushsux is enterprising, I've not heard of a street artist starting a patreon page before.. I like his work though!
ReplyDeleteGrace, I have no idea what a patreon page, although I know has one.
DeleteIt's where the artist or whoever sets up an account that people who follow them can donate money to help support them in their artistic endeavours.
DeleteThese Are So Damn Cool - Thanx For Sharing - Well Done
ReplyDeleteCheers
I'm pleased you liked them Padre.
DeleteThere's a van that parks near work that is covered in Lushsux graffiti, initially I thought it was a statement against the company.
ReplyDeleteA good commission to get, unless it is his own van.
