My number of unfinished and unpublished posts was rising rapidly, which usually leads to a Flood Friday. Instead I have finished them and as you may have noticed you are getting two posts a day for the last few days. I am hovering around twenty, of which ten are permanently not for publication or have been published and then pulled. Still, I am doing better than Snoskred with 60 unpublished posts. Here is the first for today. I don't think there will be more two posts a day.
Too much writing and not enough photos of late. These were taken a while ago of local celebrations at Federation Square for Buddha's Day. There is not much to say about the photos.
A politician speaks. I know who he is, but it doesn't matter.
Pouring water over a miniature religious figure. Not baptising I shouldn't think.
I made a twenty second video with a pan of the scene. Turn up your sound and you will hear the bells of St Paul's Cathedral ringing. To my ears, it sounds like bell ringing practice for first timers.
I see what you mean about the bell ringing. Such a rich and crowded scene. I firmly believe we would live in a much duller world without multiculturalism.
ReplyDeleteEC, indeed we would be much poorer in many ways if not for our overseas born people, but there must be some of limit.
DeleteHow do you manage it I do one a fortnight then that's sometimes a difficult .I found the bell ringing a bit off too.
ReplyDeleteMerle..............
Merle, I work, so I am highly organised and focused. Once I retire, do it tomorrow, manana.
DeleteAn "unpublished post" is just a completed post that is still in the publication queue. Apart from a few topics that HAVE to appear in a time specific manner, you could have five years of unpublished posts lined up in a dated queue.
ReplyDeleteBuddha's Day might be time-specific but public transport, architecture, daggy family members, political actions etc are issues that go on forever.
Hels, you are right, I have unfinished posts, but not so many now.
DeleteIs there a specific reason why you have a Buddha's Day? I'm trying to imagine a Jesus's Day, with inflatable painted Jesus balloons, etc. Can't quite see it.
ReplyDeleteCro, I've never thought about it. Maybe it is Buddha's birthday? I think we have a public holiday for the birth or death of Jesus. Is it Christmas or Easter.
DeleteI have lots of unpublished posts too, but some of them are just outdated now. Buddha's day, haven't heard of that one here in Perth, but sounds like fun, any excuse to party and eat :)
ReplyDeleteSami, I know what you mean, but sometimes you can polish and update them.
DeleteLovely photos thank you. I don't have any unpublished posts these days, last year I had scheduled posts for about a month in advance, but I just don't have the interest or time to do that now.
ReplyDeleteRiver, we write and publish. I guess it does not matter to anyone else whether we have a backlog or not. I just felt the need to explain why I am making so many posts.
DeleteI usually do one post a week...sometimes, two...that's enough for me. I don't have any unpublished, half-written ones hanging around.
ReplyDeleteLee, you are well organised. At times I just write and the bones of what I write are ok, so later I expand on it.
DeleteSuper colourful series of shots Andrew. I see what you mean about the bell ringing, maybe they were just having an off day 😀
ReplyDeleteGrace, I have never heard the bells played tunefully.
DeleteWhat a great idea!
