A non productive day

I have seen a written version of something similar, but I like this little clip. Ultimately the point was the same. It is damn depressing when you spend a day working hard and you get nothing done.

For me it more tech based. I go to the computer to check something. I am quickly distracted by things that apparently need immediate attention. An hour later, I go to the computer again to check the same thing. I am again distracted. The next day I go to computer to check the same thing. Yep, distracted again. A week later, maybe I might have checked what I intended to, but not necessarily so. Very sorry if it was your comment or blog post that I meant to check.

    1. You and me both EC. Well, I do usually get things done, but I can see days ahead when I won't.

  2. Unfortunately this is only too accurate. Happy senior's life, Andrew.

    1. Victor, because I work full time, I have to be very disciplined. I am not so sure I will be once I stop paid work.

  3. I'm surprised at you. If you're going to check a specific thing, why wouldn't you check it first, then waste time surfing around.

    1. River, I thought you would understand. If it is really important, ok, I am focused. What I mean is one of those things that you think, I must check that, and don't. Your post about Adelaide Oval was one such thing. I did eventually get around to looking at the Oval in depth, but it took a while.

  5. What a great little video.. we've all been there and some of us disguise it as 'multi tasking' and ignore the fact that nothing gets done :)))

    1. Grace, of course that is what it is, multi tasking. One day the tasks will be finished.

  8. Not just older people - everyone is so distracted these days - far too much input, now what was I doing before I came here

    1. MC, I think we are in an adaptive period where we are adjusting to things that were not even imaginable when we grew up. A for young people, I don't know.
