Are teenage boys really this uncommunicative? I can't remember. All the same it does seem quite plausible.
According to Shazam, the track is called Sort of Dunno Nothin' by Peter Denahy who comes from, some of you overseas types will like this, Yackandandah.
Yackandandah is a great town.
ReplyDeleteQuite gay friendly too Ann, thanks to Andy.
DeleteThat's hilarious!! And true, but not for all teen boys, I know a few who actually hold conversations.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of Yackandandah. I think we drove through there once.
River, yes, I know teen boys who do talk. I think I used to talk when I was a teen, and if I didn't it was because Mother never shut up long enough for anyone to get a word in.
DeleteI think we have driven through Yack once.
I think teenage boys have an incredible vocabulary of two letter words - eh....ah.....oh..... uh. Always managing to finish their sentences with - init
ReplyDeleteFun60, that is classic English. Init. It almost invites yet also repels a challenge to whatever they say.
DeleteI am not an expert on all adolescent boys but I AM a world expert on my own sons and all the other boys in their years at school.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't need to string sentences together. They simply slapped each other on the side of their heads or punched each other on the arms, followed by a warm smile and a grunt.
And those friendships are still strong as strong as ever, 20 years later.
Hehe Hels, That is funny, but I get it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great song! Made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteGood Wombat. Guess you would not have heard it.
DeleteTres drole Andrew.. love the wink at the end :)
ReplyDeleteI noticed that Grace. Finished it nicely.
DeleteVery clever. The only thing that jarred for me was the boy playing (or toying with) the scrabble board. He would only use three letter words, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI agree Victor, he is unlikely to be a scrabble player.
