Wobbly Bits

The weather was cool but that never stops belly dancers giving lessons to a crowd of what I guess to be mostly Turkish women.

Yes, she had them all up, in their coats, gyrating away.

  1. I realise that many cultures love belly dancing, but only when they parade semi naked women, for the titillation of men. If they made semi-naked men make show ponies of themselves in public for the titillation of women, it would be less sexist.

Mind you, 21 is probably the last age at which most people should let it all hang out in public. Then it should be belly dancing for close friends and relations only :)

    1. Hels, an older form of pole dancing? I have see a young Indian guy belly dance and he was very good. Yes, there is always an age to cover up.

  2. Looks like the same woman who put on a demonstration at the "dog park" show I wandered past last year and took photos of. The dogs, not the woman. They had other entertainment there. I remember belly dancing being on my list of things to try, way back when, before the back started giving so much trouble. I can't help thinking if I'd learned it maybe the back wouldn't have got so bad. It does look like fun.

    1. River, it may well be the same woman, a multi skilled entertainer.

Never too late though. You do your belly dancing in the privacy of your home, and I will do it in mine.
