Monday Mural

This is a strange one. I don't know what it is about or where I took the photo in April. I am getting a bit low on mural photos. I don't have many up my sleeve now.

  1. It is unusual - but still a welcome decoration of blank and otherwise ordinary spaces.
My photos are getting low too.

    1. EC, much nicer than a blank wall.

  2. I really should delve into the old photos, I haven't been doing much in the last couple of years and I was a mad one for it before.

I do like this mural. Very unusual.

  4. He was already on his fifth joint after having painted the Monkey. I rather like the Monkey; the rest probably shocked the artist when he next saw it.

  5. I like this one! It's got a monkey and a happy smiling face. I saw a lot of murals when I walked to the Central Market last week, but didn't have my camera with me and since then I haven't been feeling like going anywhere at all. I did walk around the block yesterday, so that's a start.

    1. Travel, I often wonder how many murals are commissioned.

  7. That one is very different to most, however, it does look rather good because it's different.

    1. Margaret, I wish I could remember where it was. Sometimes I come across them again.

  8. As I suggested the other day, Andrew...perhaps it's time for you to try your hand at painting and sketching! Grab an easel, some acrylic paints and a few paint brushes! You probably have a hidden talent...one you will enjoy, and want to share with us! :)

You have an eye for art...as shown in your many photos...so get cracking! And keep taking good care in the meantime! :)

    1. Lee, I am very bad at anything artistic that involves a pencil or paintbrush. Just not my interest either. Thanks for your good wishes.

  9. Interesting! I see at the upper right it's signed "Bailer," and doing some Googling I learned that Bailer is a Melbourne street artist who's done some other work you may know. There's a web site: https://www.bailer.com.au/

    1. Thanks Steve. Why didn't I do that, and indeed I do know a couple of his works and used them here before.

  10. Could you have taken it in Chinatown Andrew, looks like it might be a mural you would find there 🐵

    1. Grace, I think you may be right on that. Hopefully in six weeks I can check.
