Monday Mural

Imagine Trumpet and Arnie discussing what is good for America.  Quelle horreur! Somewhere in Richmond and again by an egoless artist who hasn't signed the work but my skillful research prowess discovered in about five seconds that it is by Lushsux,  https://www.instagram.com/lushsux/?hl=en. I like his name.

  1. That mural would put me off my cuppa.
I really like his Yoda though - thanks for the link.

    1. EC, I don't think this is his best work.

  2. Does he often not sign his work? (Instagram wouldn't let me see much unless I either created an account or logged in with a Facebook account--will the masses never resist the work of the web giants in making us marketable down to our pinky toenails?)

The figure on the left looks a bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger (who, wicked though he is, at least hates Trump), and I don't think the artist succeeded in depicting Trump as the loathsome subterranean creature that he is.

    1. Snowy, it is a curious thing why Perth mural painters nearly always sign their work, but Melbourne mural painters often do not. Get over being the productčśť You are already and resistance is pointless. Yes, Arnie in mural. It looks like they came to agreement on something. I didn't know they did not like each other. To Arnie's credit perhaps.

Nonetheless, Andrew, I try to avoid having any connection with businesses like Facebook that regularly violate the rights of their account holders-not to forget, in the case of Facebook, helping Trump become president.

Is the defeatism with which you approach your Internet life reflected in other aspects of your life? For instance, in this post, you shared what amounts to a political statement, but if you feel that wealthy bad guys are going to win no matter what you do, why bother to do anything? Why not just look the other way and allow the homophobic Christians, the global warming deniers, and all other well-financed exploiters and enemies of freedom and morality have their way?

    3. Snowy, you may see me as being defeatist. I see me as being practical and realistic, however I do think things should be fought for and fought against and those who are out there on the ground have my admiration. I've done my part in the past.

  3. Oh Bother, What A Bummer. To All Of You Down Under, As An American, I Sincerely Apologize. Both Of Those Chumps Are An Embarrassment. And The Women That Stand Beside Them, Awful Representation To The Youth.

    1. Padre, yes, yes and yes. But we don't blame decent people in the US who would never vote for Trumpet.

  4. Was Donald Trumps TV show The Apprentice shown in Australia? After he became president, he was replaced by Arnold. Is that what the mural is referring to?

    1. Kirk, yes. It was shown here but I never watched it. I don't remember Arnie following. You may be right.

  5. Truely an embarrassment. I could go on about our President. I don't want to be in blogger jail.

  6. Hopefully Thump would never be allowed into Australia, before he is impeached and certainly not after. So let us not have fake views of Thump on the walls of Richmond.

  7. Look at the way he's depicted trumps 'nasty' fingers 'digging into' arnies hand. And the frustration/rage on trumps face.

  10. With apologies to the artist who must have worked hard to produce it, that's one mural I wouldn't mind seeing graffitied, or even removed. I'm not a fan of Trumpet.
