    1. Dora, horrible day here yesterday, but absolutely gorgeous today. 70F and clear blue skies with a gentle cool breeze.

  3. That was the vastest weather change in the history of humanity. The wind was so strong we lost all electricity in the house and the traffic lights in my suburb went black. Cars were moving NS and EW at the same time :(

    1. How awful Hels. At least you lost power after the heat had gone, and guessing what kind of house you have, I don't expect it would have heated up too much in one day.

  4. How come, even with daylight saving, it's 3pm Friday down there...it's only 1 pm up here as I read and type? (I hope you're not suffering heat stroke, Andrew)!

    Keep your cool! :)

    1. Stop it Lee. You are doing my head in. Funny story, two days ago I sent a text message to a rail fan on the Gold Coast saying, on now, ABC Brisbane, presenter talking GC rail with a guest. I received the notification at 5pm that it would be on after the 5pm news, so it was urgent for me to let him know. Yes, he missed it by about 50 minutes. I iz idiot.

  5. Certainly a warm day for Melbourne yesterday, and it got cooler quickly which didn't happen here.

    1. Margaret, I didn't see your temperature yesterday but I guess it was hot there too, although a bit later. Btw, our friend in your city is on holiday in Antarctica with her ex and a friend. While I like cooler weather for holidays, that is going a bit far. She also sold her central West Launceston unit and bought a house in the far east of West Launceston with very nice views.

    2. Wonderful trip to Antartica I believe, should imagine it would be beautiful. Hope they have a good sail there and back..would be rather cold but they rug up.
Sounds nice and would be a decent view from the west...

  7. Our heat moved over your way. We didn't get the anticipated 42C, only 41.3C which is just as bad in my opinion. Hooray for AC and heavy blockout drapes and outside awning too.

    1. River, it was weird how the bureau increased the forecast temperature for you each day, and then a day later started doing the same thing for us. The winds were so bad here many people lost power, so no air con for them.

  8. Blimey that was a huge drop in temperature in a such a short space of time! Bet you were happy about it though!
