Monday Mural

It's been a while since I put up a mural post, like a couple of months I think. I spied this mural from the 72 tram in Commercial Road down Porter Street. If I have any gay male Melbourne readers, this mural was near the gay sauna (bathhouse) at 55 Porter Street, now closed I believe.

The mural faces north and so the sun will fade it quickly and it is has already a little so clearly it has been there for a while and I had not noticed it before. I think it is such a fun mural. As I was taking photos, with the old camera, a mum with her child in pusher walked past me and the child was pointing at the doggies. Art that can engage a two year old child must be art.

My favourite. I do like a dachshund, especially one full of joy de vivre.

Grace at Perth Daily Photo is having a month of red, so I just thought I would throw in this photo of an apartment building also in Porter Street.

  8. I like that apartment building, the red really makes it stand out. It would be easy to see on a grey cloudy day.

    1. River, a drunk coming home to it at night shouldn't have any problem finding it, haha.

  11. I love that mural! But then animals are my soft spot.

I like the red-sided apartment building, too. I've never seen anything like it or even close.

    1. Thanks Jenny. The colour is an attempt to make a bland and boring block of flats a bit interesting. Works for a while.
