  4. Go for long lasting flowers: orchids, zinnias and chrysanthamums and carnations. Nothing worse than a droopy appearance after 2 days :(

    1. Quite so Hels. I don't like droopy :-P We buy flowers once a week. Sometimes they last well, sometimes not. We don't want them to last too long.

  7. I don't like indoor flowers of any kind with my hayfever. And...it always seems a bit posh to me to always have fresh flowers. I have plastic indoor greenery.

    1. River, we rarely spend no more than $8 a week on a bunch of usually whatever is seasonal. I would miss them if they were there. They give the place a lift and it interesting to watch them open, reach their prime, then slowly die and you have to make the call.

    1. Maribeth, it is old now and we would like to replace it but it is so hard to get a square one, let alone with drawers. It will probably stay. But thank you.
