Changing the baby

Dear Niece,

Don't worry, twins will be a piece of cake compared to triplets and a toddler. (I thought I had posted this. Sorry if I have already)

  1. Huh. I see a lot of unnecessary baby re-arranging there, swapping baby positions and chasing the toddler. I would have only one at a time on the bed and as each child is dressed put him or her back in the crib or playpen until done, or even do the dressing in the crib. I'm still glad I only had single births though.

    1. River, I guess the video was produced with a public viewing in mind. Looking after those four would be more than a full time job.

    2. It is funny to watch and I agree four that young would be a full time job.

  2. I agree with River but they would all be wearing nighties if it was me all those buttons take a lot of time even zips would be faster.

    1. Merle, velcro is the way to go, I reckon, but it does wear out.

    2. Merle; nighties for when they are younger and need changing at every feed, this lot are beginning to crawl and onesies are better for that. Nighties get caught up at the knees.

  3. Correct... one twin at a time, for bathing, eating, dressing and changing. Otherwise they gang up against the poor parent :(

My sister in law had twins, after she thought her pregnancy days were over. She was exhausted for years (until they turned 25 and became adorable).

    1. Hels; I had a school friend whose mother had twins when friend and I were in grade six, the mother breastfed both at once, by tucking a twin under each arm like a football until they got too big, then it was swap around with one being breastfed while the other had a bottle and next feeding the bottle baby got breastfed. A logistical nightmare remembering which one to give the bottle to.

  5. I'm amused at that video. Don't where her brains are!
One at a time in my book.

    1. Margaret, her brain is probably frazzled by the triplets and she is just coping the best way she can.

    1. Grace, yes, I did put it on FB. I wasn't sure if I put it here. Don't take too much from it aside from it being amusing.
