Australia Day

Why was I at home on Australia Day? Where was R? I can't remember. I went out for a stroll with the camera.

These air force planes collectively known as The Roulettes make an appearance on Australia Day

I missed a great shot of the planes reflected in this mirrored building. I couldn't see the planes in the sky, just their reflections in the building.

Up.

Upside down.

There is a display of old vehicles in The Domain on Australia Day, including some army vehicles. We have been a couple of times, ah just last year. Part 1 and part 2. I did not notice the soldier waving to me as I snapped this photo.

    1. Jennifer, it was a month ago and we mainly like it because it is a public holiday.

  8. We get the Roulettes here for the main Clipsal race day, which I thought was today, but I was wrong. Clipsal week is later, right now Adelaide is in "Fringe" fever. Well, some of Adelaide, I personally don't care for it. I could try getting new photos of the Roulettes this year, but don't hold your breath.

    1. River, I suggest the audience target for Fringe is a year or so younger than us. No opera this year to go with Clipsal?

    1. Merle, for many that is the day after Australia Day when people had to much to drink the day before. Australia Day, you didn't miss much.

    1. Grace, I've always wanted to say that to a sailor. Not sure it would go down well though.
