My dear American and unfinished posts

While on holidays instead of posting a Flood Friday with unfinished posts I have become bored with, over a week I will post them all. The internet addicted Highriser on holidays is a dangerous creature. I was going to say, we kick off here, but that doesn't sound very Australian, so, we bounce the ball here. Don't feel obliged to comment, but please do so if you are inspired. Normal posts will not have the Flood Friday tag.

Votes NY, San Fran, LA.

  1. Actually Andrew in the so called non AFL states of NSW and Queensland we more usually refer to 'kick off' or 'kicking off' than to 'bounce the ball'.

    1. Regardless Victor, that being a minority sport, I used the term used in our major sport.

    2. 'Minority sport'? I don't see any reference to a specific sport in my comment? It is 'kick off' in Soccer - the most participated in sport at junior level across all of Australia, boys and girls - and Rugby Union - played in all states - and Rugby League - admittedly predominately in NSW and Queensland.

  2. Your map covers electoral college votes, I am assuming. Not real people. After all Clinton got 1.7 million more votes than Thump.

    1. Hels, I am guess they are raw votes. The Clinton areas are very populated.

    2. In fact Hels Clinton received around 2.7 million more popular votes according to recent reports I've read and the biggest leading margin of popular votes than achieved by anyone other than President Obama in the 2008 election.
