My Bucket List

My bucket list is not nearly as ambitious as that of Fun60 in London, but is is a list of things locally I want to see. It is here to remind me.

Victoria Gardens in Prahran. (done)

50 minute free tour of Federation Square.

River ferry upstream from Princes Bridge. We've done downstream to Docklands, the Williamstown ferry and the Sorrento to Queenscliff ferry.

Audio guided walk of Melbourne University (done).

See the meerkats at Royal Childrens Hospital.

Backstage tour of Hamer Hall.

Holocaust Museum in Elsternwick.

Boating on Botanic Gardens lake.

Walk the old Rosstown railway route.

Walk the length of Merri Creek (done).

  1. That's a very short bucket list and totally do-able. So get cracking a do those things and when you've finished, write another bucket list, because you've got years ahead of you.

    1. River, I feel very mortal at the moment and I don't think I will live to be very old.

    2. Really? When I don't have anything aching, I feel about half my age most of the time.

  2. Good luck. I look forward to travelling with you (the easy way) as you mark things off the list.

  3. I went to a wedding on a super river ferry, years ago. It went upstream from Princes Bridge and but I must say I was more interested in Docklands etc. The poor bride felt a bit neglected as the guests were very involved in the river trip!

    1. Hels, as I have walked a good bit of the Yarra now, it is not so important. The docks are probably more interesting.

  4. You made me think. I'll have to write a reminder of the sort.
Why only "locally"? Don't you ever get away? Oh, just noticed a list COUNTRIES VISITED. Can I suggest something?
Stand and stare at Sistine Chapel ceiling. Try to hide from Raphael's eyes there. Walk round all Venice. Get on the roof of Duomo Milano.
And a lot more in Italy! I would love to hear you when you've done that.
Merry Christmas and prosperous, healthy, peaceful new year!

    1. Irina, I will have a few countries to add next year but sadly only a few hours in Rome. Thanks for your good wishes and while I can't read the text on your blog, the photos look good.

    1. Gosia, I don't really have an overseas list, perhaps apart from wanting to see Prague.

  7. Why don't you do the "swap house" holiday? River, El Chi and I could holiday at the Highrise and you could travel from Adelaide to Canberra and the added bonus is that you get to meet and feed some lovely furry purry cats.
