So many worthy charities

I might just leave this video playing on the computer on a loop when siblings, nephew and nieces are here for Christmas. Keep them on their toes with the rich uncles, you know. You never know, I might have my own very deserving Derek in my old age. Then there are always the worthy charities, too many to count.

  1. Good thing she had her glasses updated so she can properly appreciate Derek. Who doesn't cause any eyestrain at all.

    1. EC, the son must be horrified in two ways, the money and thinking about his mother and the gardener.

  2. Each time I see that on tv I wait for the look on the older man's face and imagine the thoughts going through his mind :)

    1. Cathy, I am sure there are times when you wouldn't mind a Derek around.

    2. Mmmm, did you hear the one about the older man with a very young mistress becoming very angry when his wife revealed she had a toy boy. The wifes words were - 20 goes into 60 far more then 60 goes into 20. So who's laughing now

  5. Organised charities (not rich uncles) all would like our donations. But we had 5 charities knocking on our front door during the last week. I gave to the first two, then told the last three to sod off!

I too might have my own very deserving Derek in old age. But he will have to earn his keep!

    1. Hels, there are some really worthy charities, but sorting the chaff from the weeds is hard. I like the small personal charities, such as this one where I donate $10 a month. It is not much but the person, Strayer, behind it, spends a lot more on cat care than is ever donated.

Yes, Derek will have to earn his keep one way or the other. Prostitution comes in many forms.

    1. Charlie wearing spectacles? Well, our Toby went blind so I suppose it is not so silly.

  7. I love that ad! Can't help thinking the mother might leave some to her son if HE helped out more around the garden etc.

    1. Strayer, an island sounds very permanent. I would get bored with Derek.
