Here is the guide from the BBC World Service

I was looking at the swearing and rude gestures guide for BBC reporters and came across the term Iberian Slap, which had me scratching my head. It is like sticking a finger up at someone and practiced on the continent, hence the name Iberian.

  1. I knew the gesture (what does that say about me) but didn't know its name.

    1. I saw it years ago EC, used by an Australian born person.

  2. Hmmm! I thought that was more of an Italian gesture ☺ How is the weather over there Andrew, I mean the actual weather, it's crazy wild over here, bit worried about my roof!

    1. Quite mild today, Grace. We are off tomorrow and I know a van is going to be a rocking on Sunday night, and not for the reason it may have thirty years ago. Monday forecast, 20mm of rain :-( Must take books, a pack of cards and the Backgammon.
