Musical Monday with a Broken Axle

Did it go kerthump, kerbang or was it just clunk, and then a dragging noise. Poor horsies inside. I heard the noise and watched the vehicle drag the horse float around the corner before stopping.

I immediately thought of the children's song, One Wheel's Off and the Axle's Dragging. It is actually called Little Red Wagon.

  1. Since I'm having issue with my audio and microphone on the computer. Can't listen to any video..."darn"...but it reminds me a story my husband shared...when they where young they took a trip and the shock on the vehicle broke and they use and axe handle to continued on there trip, and it stay in for a while.

    1. Dora, that's an old trick and done around the world, along with using panty hose as a substitute for a broken fan belt. Good to see ingenuity exists there too.

  2. Big smiles. Some days I feel like one of my wheels is off too. And of course the axle is broken.
