Jussy for our PM

Do we have a Prime Minister? I suppose Malcolm Turnedbull is caretaker Prime Minister. Why oh way can't we have a PM like Canada's Justin Trudeau? I never thought much of his father's looks, Pierre Trudeau. His looks must come from his 'interesting' mother Margaret, a frequent visitor to New York's Studio 54 with a celebrity or ten in tow.  At least our Malcolm did march in the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras march/parade but not with quite the same flair as Jussy.

Here is the luscious Jussy at Toronto's Gay Pride March. Jackie and her husband, in Toronto, visited the march and Jackie took lots of photos, including her own of Jussy. Well actually, Jackie's cousin took the photo of Jussy and it is a great photo.

If only this photo was a bit closer, I am sure you would be able to see his snail trail where his shirt gapes. I reckon he sought advice from his ever so stylish mum Margaret about what to wear, and she chose well. Getty Images.

In other political news, our former Mayor of the City of Port Phillip Julian Hill ran as a Labor replacement for the sitting Labor member in the seat of Bruce, and won. I asked R if he remembered him, and he said of course. He was young, slim, blond and cute. He was 25 when he was elected as mayor. Looking in the mirror can be quite depressing at times. However, I see Julian is no longer young, slim, blond and cute.

  1. Justin Trudeau is a breath of fresh air in politics and I can't think of a single politician in Australia to match him. Canada is in the 21st century and sadly we are still in the last century.

    1. Let us not get carried away here, Victor. Canada's last prime minister was the appalling Stephen Harper.

    2. Victor, Canada does many things really well, but it is not perfect. I've not looked by with a similarly spread out population, I wonder what their internet service is like.

Hels, I and I expect a lot of Canadians were very pleased to see the end of Harper. If you remember, he tried to portray Trudeau as an empty headed pretty boy.

    3. Hels, I certainly was not referring to Harper, my comment related to Canada under Trudeau.

I was very impressed with how Canada handled tourism whilst also addressing environmental imperatives when I visited there.

    4. Victor, it seems some Canadians have real problems with some of the environmental policies of the Canadian government, or perhaps more with the hangovers from the past. Certainly superficially, Canada and its people are very caring for its environment. I just don't have time for researching the matter at the moment.

    2. EC, they are good photos. She has had practice. Isn't it good that he can appear to be full of fun yet serious and statesmen like when necessary.

    5. Jackie, made my eyes a bit wet after reading the text. It is salient point about the white jeans, but best of all, he really does seem to be having fun. The way he is dressed makes me certain his mother styled him. Thanks so much. As to question, could it happen in another country, maybe, but take some pride in that Canada and your Prime Minister did it first.

    6. That is, he not only participated, but joined in.

  3. YES. His parents were legendary in 1969/70. The Mom hung with The Rolling Stones.

    1. Annie, a while ago I read an interview with her and she found the Prime Ministerial residence absolutely stifling, perhaps one factor in her party girl persona.

I agree with you about Justin. But be careful of what you wish for. Someone in the Libs might remember that David Cameron is looking for a job. - Ian

    1. Ian, Cameron is not even in the running in the looks stakes. Interesting thought though.

  5. Thanks for the mention. Our parade is just great. My cousin's girlfriend yelled at Justin and he turned right around.

    1. Jackie, I can see a couple of guys who look like security, but it appears minimal, and Canada is all the better for that.

  6. "Jussy for PM"
Because he's cute? Good looking? Gay?
Or because he does a good job at Prime Ministering?
I had a look at the parade photos, looks like a fun day. Very nice legs on the man holding the rainbow umbrella.

    1. River, why not? We don't seem to do very well ourselves with taking it all so seriously. Btw, Jussy is married with children. Yes, a nice pair of pins.

  7. I wonder how may other country would like to see Justin Trudeau as head of there state.
Not living far from Canada I can tell one thing if the Canadians didn't come down to shop our local community would be struggling more then it is. The Canadians are doing something right.

    1. Dora, they come for the cheaper prices, I think. Interesting that it works well for the people where they shop too. Good services, medical care and a caring society costs more and Canadians should ideally spend the money in their own country.

  11. Speaking as an American, I'd take Jussy over Hillary or Trump, and not just because of his looks (though he IS hot.)
