Ohhhh, Hyacinth.

Within a few hours measurements were taken and doors and fittings removed. Will life ever be the same again?

  2. We had a full makeover, and our apocalypse was considerably more messy than yours. I am in awe at how ordered your cupboards are too.

    1. EC, yes, we have been through the full Monty three times in the past and this is not so bad, but we were a good bit younger then and any mistake would not last to the end of our lives. Yes, R and I are very compatible about things being tidy, although the linen press, half of which is used as a pantry is not so good.

  3. Oh fun are you doing your kitchen, the hardest part is waiting for the tradesmen to ring back.
All worth it in the end.

    1. Merle, because we are only employing one company, dealing with tradesmen is more their problem.

  4. But just wait till it is all finished! It will so be worth it. We did major renovations on our farmhouse 10 years ago, with tradesmen in our house for 6 months. It was soooo worth it in the end.

    1. CM, six months of disruption! I guess you only you can judge if it is worth it. I suppose it depends on how it is done.

  5. Are you at that point of 'Oh R What have we done?'

    1. Marie, what there has been is lots of 'I hope we've done the right thing'. The company is very professional and I think they would point out anything serious about our choices that might not be right.
