Couple of thoughts on the new pc

I suppose it is a combination of the new computer and Windows 10 but never have things been easier to set up. Everything just plugs in and works. Gone are the days of battling with installation cds, or earlier floppy disks, struggling to download programmes and install them. It has been pretty well a case of click, wait a few seconds and it is done, seamlessly.

  2. That is excellent.
I remember the day when I bought a new computer how a technician would come to home here and set it all up. So much better these days.
I believe we ourselves understand computers more too..

Smoke still about. We just arrived home from being out to dinner..
Hope it's a clear day for you..

    1. Margaret, it is with a little pride that I can say I have always done it by myself, with some outside help at times but not much. Yes, clear here but by this evening's news, things are not good in your state.

  3. My new laptop was the same way; it was wonderful! Just so you know: I've had a wonderfully cantankerous, even carnaptious, few days... it's been quite rejuvenating!

  5. I'm more extravagant than you and renew my (formerly PCs and now) MacBooks every two/three years. It is time for me renew.

    1. Victor, renewal is time consuming, no matter about the cost.

  7. I like it too! my TV is the same. I asked my K to visit and help me set it up, tune in the channels etc, I'd pay her in pizza, or Macca's; she came along, plugged it in and sat watching while the TV did all the work. She still got her burger and fries though.
I remember my very first computer in 1998, it had so many CDs that had to be installed before you could use it.

    1. River, yes even new tvs took some setting up. I had forgotten that. You were quite early into computers. Like me, it doesn't mean that you know any more than smart young things who grew up with digital.
