The delicate sex, with the delicate organs

The headline in a respectable newspaper says, Girls at Islamic school banned from running.

Australia is a country of immigrants. Why are the latest African and Middle Eastern Moslem immigrants so unwilling to embrace Australia. If not that they hate the country they have come to live in, they certainly don't seem to want to be a part of it, so different to our previous immigrants, of which I am one, albeit a long time one.

This principal, Omar Hallak, is the head of a partly funded by government Moslem school and he told students that Islamic State was a only plot by Western countries.

As my female teenage friend who attended a private Catholics girls' school recounted to me, the nuns told her not to talk to boys through the Cyclone wire fence as she might become pregnant. The mental image of that happening is kind of interesting really, but I don't think the nun meant her words to be taken literally.

Forget my fantasies and memories. Let's get back to the Moslem school principal. He has banned the female students from running in sports events as such running may break their hymen and so the betrothed would no longer be 'a virgin'. I don't know if running breaks a hymen, but it sounds awfully like what the nun said about getting pregnant through a fence to me.

From some reading I understand having your virginity taken during the first intercourse can be painful. It sounds to me like first intercourse will not be terribly good for woman. But apparently the hymen must be intact to prove the woman is a virgin. Ah, you are marrying this woman and on your wedding night you already don't trust her when she says she is a virgin and physical proof is required?

Another memory. Step Mother was not allowed to ride a horse when she was young, as that could break her hymen. Unknown to her parents, she was already having sex by the age of fourteen and her hymen had been well and truly broken.

That the Australian taxpayer, like me, funds these crank religious school that preach such rubbish and are determined to have Moslem women live like they would back in the countries they were so eager to leave is intolerable.

One last word from Omar Hallak? The girls may fall over when running and break a leg, and so render them infertile.

Lordy, women with broken hymens, broken legs, infertile woman. I am prepared to tolerate religious and cultural beliefs, but not tossers like Hallak talking such nonsense. If his church school is typical of what we fund from our taxes, then maybe our taxes could be better spent on schools that provide some education in the sciences and human rights.

Related, while some Moslem women might like wearing a veil, not all do,

There is also a Facebook group of women removing their veils in front of a sign saying, Sisters, observe your hijab. Good on 'em.

The hijab may not be so bad but I find the niqab and the burqa vile. While some woman say they it is their preference, surely it is mostly societal conditioning and clearly many who don't want to wear either are forced to.

  1. Andrew , In my opinion Muslims world is completely different from ours. I can't believe my eyes in Turkey. But I think if they want to live in another countries they should respect the law. And in Germany they do... the law is strict for them and it seems it is good ....

    1. Gosia, very interesting about German and you are fortunate to see one of the better Moslem countries.

  2. It all makes no sense to me, I think we should have one naked day a year when on one wears any clothes that would reduce us all to laughter and lighten the whole thing up, I would most likely stay home that day or take my camera.

  3. The Principal - oh my! Little does he know that the Hymen can tear/break when quite young from sport, riding horses even walking in some. Some brides in the olden days would scratch their leg to make it bleed onto the sheets of their marital bed, so that when inspected by relatives it was deemed the Hymen was broken, the marriage was consummated. Often there is no bleeding..I had better stop as this can be a long subject with lots of Taboos. Even expects beg to differ.
But a girl/women can still be a virgin even though her Hymen may be broken.

When in Australia or any country, all should conform to the Australian way regardless.....but they don't, and won't. Yet, some fit in well.

    1. WA, yes, we must remember the many success stories and what a shame a few idiots like him above poison people's minds. Why do people come here if they don't like the country and us? I can only assume, for the money.

Fortunately most of the western world has moved on with attitudes to virginity, well certainly the 'proof' part of it.

    2. Really don't know why they come here to stick to their 'rules'. I suppose compared to other countries it might be easier to do that here....just a thought.

  4. Wow, I can't figure out why religions are so fanatic about controlling women and their bodies for reproduction. Is it not just as important to the Muslims that men be virgins at marriage? I doubt so. It's only women religion attempts to control. If these control freak scoundrels are getting taxpayer money, they should be stopped from this garbage or their funding removed. If people move to another country, they should take up the culture and values or go back home, because nobody needs that crap in free countries.

    1. Strayer, precisely. I don't get his preciousness about virgins. While clearly like men rather a lot, some of them have rather fucked up ideas.

  5. There is also a thriving business in certain countries for repairing broken hymens.
And Catholic boys were fed just as much crud as the girls. It must have been a shock for him to start going out with me not that he lasted long. I didn't mind the religion but not having a sense of humour was cruel.

    1. Jah Teh, surely not! The Moslem equivalent of plastic surgery? Jews too can be problematic about things, but at least they do have a sense of humour.

  6. Back in the olden days, men wore outfits very similar to the ladies. This was because they were in countries where it was very hot and there was a lot of sun. Over the years, the outfits for men have become, well, whatever they feel like wearing, but for some reason the outfits for women have remained similar to the olden days.

The holy book does not say anything about covering hair, etc. It speaks of covering the bosom, but last I checked, that was on the chest, not on the head.

I am not a fan of this religion purely due to how it treats women. I never will be a fan of this religion while it makes ladies cover up while the men can wear speedos. Not cool with me. Not cool with a lot of Australians, and many of them keep the fact it is not cool with them to themselves for fear of offending others.

We have always been a country where we call it as we see it. Even though at times we have seen it wrongly, we are always willing to wear that later on down the track when our wrongness comes to light. Lately I see a lot of people holding their tongues instead of saying no, this is NOT ok with us. And I have to say, that is not ok with me. :(

    1. Snoskred, be assured, my almost ample bosom is firmly planted on my chest and quite obvious in a tight tee, which is why I don't wear tight tees.

When we were in Malaysia, R said to me, all these Arab holiday women are covered in black, including their mouths, while their husbands are wearing quite stylish and relaxed clothing. It stinks.

It is not the first time I written about such things and it won't be last. I leave myself open to be accused as racist, bigoted or prejudiced, but I won't stay silent about the bleeding obvious and nor should others. Women fought for the right to vote, they should not have to fight for rights now.

  7. I quite agree with your conclusion. "If his church school is typical of what we fund from our taxes, then maybe our taxes could be better spent on schools that provide some education in the sciences and human rights".

However it is not withholding State funding that stops abuses.. it is monitoring by the State Government. I know of many government schools where the boys were beaten to a pulp by principals. This may not happen now, but only because the level of governmental monitoring went up. Or because parents became more assertive.

    1. Hels, quite correct. Where our taxes are spent do need to be monitored and when our money is spent badly, those who do must be called to account. And then what about the school money scandal on tonight's news!

  8. We of course have the same issues. I get the impression that some fanatics of the muslim faith interpret the religion to the way they think or believe it should be rather than the reality of 21st century modern life. Surely, what was relevant to life X thousands of years ago is no longer valid - especially the rights of women? The stone age this is not, even though they would like to drag us all back there kicking and screaming.

    1. Craig, very much as you describe. This is the 21st century. The 'virgin' Arab bride may well have hooked with someone on Tinder already. Does that make her less of a person?

  9. There's a lot that can accidentally break a hymen apparently, I've never given it much thought though. it's ludicrous to believe a young girl is no longer a virgin because of a ruptured hymen though. And broken legs render them infertile?? what a lot of horse hooey!
Anyway..if they don't want to assimilate and be Australian, why are they coming here?

    ReplyDelete

    1. River, why are they coming here if they find our lifestyles so to their distaste? In our inner northern suburbs, old and young, Moslem and non believing hipsters all mix in with mutual respect. This is the Australia I want.

  10. It's all been said Andrew, but will it make any difference? Let's hope!

  11. my friend married a Greek and when they honeymooned in Surfers she was not allowed to swim because his family said it would make her infertile.
as for that creep Omar obsessed with the hymens of his students after they have been FGM'd - oh wait, that's too genteel - after they have had their clitoris chopped out on the kitchen table ... what a dogfaced cvnt he is. fkn foreigners.
