Securing your quad bike

I laughed at this photo, not so much because of it, but at the time it took me to see what was the problem, quite a number of seconds.

I called R over. He sat down and he too looked blankly at for a time. Suddenly his face lit up too as he grasped the issue. You being such clever people will immediately get it, I am sure.

Actually, I suppose it could be like that to keep it secured against theft in the owners absence.

  4. I saw this and snickered in rueful sympathy. I am pretty certain that I have made equally ludicrous mistakes - and grateful that the world hasn't seen them.

    1. EC, I think we all do or verbally express some really silly things at times, like when mid summer I said to friends, well the heat from you central heating will keep the mosquitoes down.

    2. Stupidity illustrated. That was in winter. No mosquitoes.

  5. Yep, saw it straight away, band through the wheel trims. Secure only while car is parked. So what do they do when the car is moving? hope that it doesn't bounce out when going over a speed hump?
I know, I know, it's one of those joke pictures.
