Firstly may I say I'm appalled by the typo in the photo caption. The Age has let its standards slip badly.Secondly, this is the sort of story that confirms truth is stranger than fiction because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities.The only way to unravel the truth is turn this story into an episode of a U.S. Forensic lab series, where unlimited resources are available and test results are back before the next scene has finished.
