Rage Rage Rage

I  very nearly stayed up too late last night. I hate staying up late and feeling like crap the next day. As it was, I woke as fresh as a daisy, although perhaps looking like wind damaged poppy.

Look at the play list and do you need to wonder why Rage kept me up a bit later than usual?

RICK ASTLEY Never Gonna Give You Up (BMG)
DEAD OR ALIVE You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) (Sony)
YAZOO Only You (Mushroom)
WORLD PARTY Ship Of Fools (EMI)
SUPERTRAMP Dreamer (A and M Records)
T-REX Children Of The Revolution (EMI)
12:30am
THIN LIZZY The Boys Are Back In Town (Independent)
EURYTHMICS Who's That Girl (BMG)
WA WA NEE Stimulation (Sony)

  1. I very nearly got up too early this morning. I hate getting up too early and feeling like crap all day.

I've heard of Rage. I have even heard of one or two of those performers.

But seriously, with my new wireless headphones I can listen to music I like via my pc. I don't mind doing the ironing if I can listen to something decent.
One dare not have a community music machine. There is only so much JP Sousa one can handle in a lifetime.

    1. But FC, I don't choose to listen to music, sometimes it just happens. Nice barb slipped in, once again.

  3. Ah so, Rage. I had to google it since I had no idea what Rage is other than what I feel all too often at work or when practicing defensive driving in this college town I live in. :)

It sounds rather like the old original MTV.

    1. Rubye, over the summer period, it plays mostly retro music and it is very popular with young people.

  4. Thin Lizzy & Supertramp are so-so the rest would have put me to sleep. There's nothing like hard rock or heavy metal the clear the cob webs from between ya ears.

God you are a bugger for punishment.
Never heard of any of that crap as listed, and would never even under torture watch it.
I enjoyed Audrey fforbes-Hamilton in "To the Manor Reborn" and then to bed.

    1. Colin, 'tis the music of my youth. Lots of associated memories.

  6. I remember the New Years Eve (1998) I stayed up all night and recorded Rage from beginning to end.
If I had a recording dvd player, I'd do it again. It's been 14 years, maybe I'd collect another 3-4 hours of music I don't mind listening to.

  7. River, it is so nice to be reminded about old music. You might not choose to listen to it now, but if it is presented to you on a plate??? What you need now is a digital recorder and it will record all night.

  8. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE! I'm rarely up late enough these days for Rage, though I sometimes check the playlists in advance, just in case there's something interesting on.

Whenever I wish I was young again, I am sobered by memories of algebra.
