This is the BBC London calling

BBC: And now a little music.

Music plays.

BBC: Many of you would recognise that as the national anthem of Botswana.

Really? I am clearly a pig ignorant Aussie. I had no idea it was the national anthem of Botswana. Alas, I have forgotten it already. Could the many of you who are familiar with it hum a few bars for me.

  3. JayLa, well Albania's has changed since King Zog. And didn't PM Hoxha change it again. Sorry, I just can't keep up. Pssst, it probably isn't quite polite to use negro in a word. Don't want to offend those in the big powerful land, what.

    First stanza Red? Meaning there is second one? Hmm, interesting. Your point is made. I expect most Botswanians would not know our anthem.

  8. Aah! the Botswana anthem I remember it well!! To be fair I did live next door to Botswana for twenty years! This is not a very happy Olympics for our sportspeople, I feel it in my bones that the next games will be ours!!
