Mouse Mat

How does a mouse mat get so disgustingly dirty? Look at how it has made the water so putrid.

  1. I often sense my mouse is capturing grit as I roll it along the mat. Dust particles are so minute.

  2. Don't use a mouse mat because i reckon it attracts the dust, i just use the bare wooden table top.

  3. I don't use a mat anymore the magic mouse works better without. But my keyboard is grotty and I can't wash that in the sink. Mine gets dirty with tea and bickies.

  5. Victor, you don't mean you still use a mouse with a ball?

Windsmoke, our desktop is glass, so that won't work.

Diane, I had to check what a magic mouse is. I might look at getting one. There is nothing to do with a dirty keyboard than scrap it, especially if keys start jamming.

Must have Fen. It is the only way it can get dirty.

  6. Coffe rings, cake and or sandwich crumbs, grubby hands and wrists, sweat etc. It all adds up and mouse mats should be cleaned regularly.

  7. It's a wireless mouse Andrew with a flat bottom. No ball but you still have to move it around.

  8. River, a coffee ring is what made me clean it. I will do it more often.

Victor, it is funny to remember how you used to have take the ball out of your mouse and clean the rollers. Young people probably wouldn't believe it now.
