This photo is from one of those Walmart emails, that is the scary people who shop in the US Walmart stores. You must have seen them. We receive an email every so often with a new lot of photos of Walmart customers. One person commented about this woman's Moe from the Three Stooges haircut. Should she be among the scary Walmart people? What would she look like if she had not created 'a look'?
She would probably look like fat faced, grey haired old lady who no one would take any notice of.
I see people like her on the street and I think, well at least you are making an effort. You are not going to excite a twenty year old lad or lass with that look, but you will get noticed, be it in a good or bad way.
For mine, I reckon she might be an interesting person to talk to. I bet she has some tales.
Was I drunk? Was he handsome? And did my Ma give me hell.

Perhaps she kept the same look from when she was young? I can imagine a beautiful girl potentially pulling off that look.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Melbourne has a lot to offer during the more quiet retail hours of the day and in the suburbs too, not to mention those 'trendy' enclaves such as Carlton and Brunswick
ReplyDeleteEasy maintenance ? Likes to draw semi-circles ? Admires bug antennas ? Wonders, "What else can I use a Sharpie for?" New use for black shoe polish ? Soooooo many options.
ReplyDeleteDid you not think it was a guy in drag at first glance Andrew? I did and still think so.
ReplyDeleteThat's the worst haircut i've ever seen in my life maybe its time she changed hairdressers :-).
ReplyDeleteI also think she's a guy. I can handle the hair but those eyebrows. Better to have them not plucked then like this.
ReplyDeleteShe/he has been going a bit crazy in the eyebrow department! There's always a story behind people like this, I'm interested...
ReplyDeleteMy grey-haired female neighbour has a Short-Back-N-Sides haircut, and is way way less appealing than Ms Walmart.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with what dear Fen said.
The woman has a sad face but not a nasty or dumb face. She is probably devoted to caring for many cats.
I know Tora Hymen would be devastated to know she was caught without her wig.
ReplyDeleteHello Andrew:
ReplyDeleteHappily, to date, we are not in receipt of emails from Walmart.
She's most likely to be found out in the Western suburbs doing that infamous Sharpie dance dear Magda performed on Spicks and Spicks one evening.
ReplyDeleteAs Ann said, I suspect there are numerous cats in her house.
Ad Rad, some people do that, long past the date they should have stopped.
ReplyDeleteMax, too cruel. Too funny.
Anon, I would not discount that.
Windsmoke, you think someone would get paid to do that to her hair?
Rubye, the eyebrows are very draggy, but I don't mind their exaggerated position.
Fen, possibly quite a long story.
Ann, your neighbour sounds like she might wear sensible shoes too. I don't see Walmart lady as a cat lady.
Jesse, love the name. You do know it does not grow back. Fab drag pics btw.
Well JayLa, not am I. They are joke emails. I can forward them to you???
Jayne, I don't remember the dance, although I am sure I saw it. Two votes that she is a cat lady. Maybe she is.
Ah Michael, you comment went to spam. I corrected it.
ReplyDeleteThe funky ahir, jewellery and lippy I can sort of understand, but NOT the cartoon eyebrows.
ReplyDeleteIs she supposed to look permanently surprised or are we supposed to believe that she has arches bigger than the wheel rims of my car?
Those eyebrows are scary.
ReplyDeleteI agree with adaptive Radiation, maybe that was her "look" way back in her teens and she still sees that when she looks in the mirror.
Kath, it is rather what drag queens do.
ReplyDeleteRiver, not sure about you, I am am still young and gorgeous when I look in the mirror......well, sometimes.
I still see my 18 year old self too sometimes. It helps that I haven't wrinkled much.
ReplyDeleteShe is herself. Good for her.
ReplyDeleteWish I could say the same River.
ReplyDeleteFC, I have a vague recollection of what people our age used to say, live and at let live.
I sat near a couple of people - probably my age - but done up crazy the other day in a Chapel street cafe - an only imagine the things they must have seen and done in their lives
ReplyDeleteLive long and prosper eyebrow lady! Come on she does have a look of Dr. Spock about her oui!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to study people like that MC. We had a neighbour who was over eighty and she had a small tattoo on her hand. We reckon she had been a lady of the night.
ReplyDeleteGrace, is Spockish a word? It is now. Merci.
Wow what a creature. Where's my gun.
