Begonia Tree

Well, these snaps outside the Melbourne Town Hall don't quite show what I thought a begonia tree might look like. The top photo is in focus but was taken through a tram window.. The bottom photo taken through the open window is out of focus. Oh well, it was a nice floral display.

  1. Well, at least I now have some idea of what a begonia tree may look like. Sadly, I don't know one flower from another for the most part.

  2. Rubye, I think more accurately, they are trees made up of many begonias.

  4. Chap on right hand side of top photo looks like he is strolling across Abbey Road.

  5. Funnily FC, while I was watching a vid about the DLR, I watched a You Tube vid where the lass who was featuring in the vid tried to just do that, in the middle of nowhere.

We have similar large pots of Begonias here in Sydney scattered throughout the suburbs. I took photos of them on Thursday and couldn't help but poke through the plants to see how they do it! Oh that we poor folks could afford to create one as a showstopper in our own front gardens!
    Thanks for sharing your photos.

  7. Dirtgirl, I am a bit surprised that they thrive so well in Sydney. I would guess they are made up of many pots on shelves or something like that. Not something you think about really, but yes, they would cost a lot if you had to build one.
