Cooling Off

Press I did and a mist of water shot out from jets on the side of the bus shelter opposite the Highrise. We knew it was there as from our balcony we had seen people press the button and receive the mist. However, it is amazing the number of people who don't notice the button.

If it's gin, I'll be right there.

That's a rather novel idea Andrew, much appreciated on a 40C day I should imagine!!

But Jah Tey, you will smell like gin. Ah, you do often anyway.

PDP, it was a forty degree that we first noticed it in action. That would be Jan 2 here.

Nice idea! I wonder how often they have to refill the thing?

Occurred to me Kath. The wall is thick so maybe the storage is big. Not many seem to push the button either. Imagine a spray of water on a killer hot dry heat Melbourne day.

That's a great idea! Adelaide councils, please take note...

Andrew said...

River, it is perhaps up to your local advertisers to push a bit.

Summer... I almost can remember what it feel like.
Andrew, I still love your little spot on the Internet. Best wishes in 2012...

Jayne, hopefully they are more responsible than that, but you never know.

Stephen, there is summer and there is summer. Although we have had a couple of killer days, so far not too bad here.

I know some homeless locals who would enjoy that as their daily shower.

From what I hear there are some similar devices at Flinders St Station on some platforms.

I agree with Jayne...could potentially be a breeding ground for nasty microbes.

I'm always amazed at how unobservant the general populace is. Cool idea though.

Andrew said...

Victor, I know a few who should use it as a shower.

Daniel, I guessed it wasn't unique.

AdRad, you would know better than I, but wouldn't it just be water in a tank? Like, water is stored in tanks everywhere.

Fen, I can miss things like that, and I hate doing so.

Maybe the unobservant local populace thinks it's a candid camera type of thing? Interactive advertising hasn't really taken off in OZ, has it?

Andrew said...

Doubt it ever will Red, anywhere, but this is a good shot at it.
