Christmas Eve Emergency

I forgot to mention about the Bellarine Peninsula christmas eve emergency. Emails were sent, favours called in, contact networks activated and telephone wires and waves ran hot, and at the very last minute a hairdresser was found who could even up Little Jo's self administered haircut to one side of her head.

"She didn't do a bad job considering she used craft scissors," was the hairdressers comment.

  4. Kath is right - photo for the 21st party blackmail moment, but -
I cannot believe the mums could not cut a child's hair? I did my daughters and husbands for decades.

  5. oh dear. I think most kids do it at least once. In my case, my neighbours did it for me, cutting a big triangle outta my fringe. I cut my sisters hair and planted the scissors in her cot, making my Mum think she did it (sshhh!)

  7. Barrel of laughs is me PDP, at times.

Em Stacks, they have no style. I know this is being recorded but surely it is buried deep.

Naughty Fen. You are owed a parental smacking.

FruitCake, all nieces and nephews are smart and self sufficient. They don't need the money we might leave to them.

  8. I did my own hair cut too when I was five or six. All the girls at school had a fringe while I had mine tied back with a bow. I desperately wanted a fringe, and cut it myself. Mum took me to the barber to get it fixed and I did end up with a fringe, but it was only about an inch long.
When I had my own kids, I cut their hair for several years before they started going to hairdressers instead.

  9. Haha, I remember Mia doing the very same thing prior to her KIndergarten photo day. I asked her what happened. She replied, "I did it by my own self Mum". lol

  11. River, we used to feel very sorry for kids with home haircuts. I hope you didn't put a basin over their heads.

Cazzie, they must specialise in doing it at the worst time.

Windsmoke, as an only child she gets constant attention. That would be the last thing on her mind.

  12. Yep, my eldest chopped her own gorgeous curls away so we had to do the horrid bowl cut and she never had curls again *sob*
I blame Playschool and their arty crafty moments....
