Blogmate Brunch

Rather than give you a blow by blow descriptions of our meet with blog mates, hey, it was just brunch at Fed Square and we chatted and then checked out the glass shop with Copperwitch before seeing her out of the city lest she steal the mayoral chains, better to read Ann's post here. Perhaps now more than blogmates.

  2. Just a nice and easy catch up Rubye.

A least they didn't fly down and bother us Windsmoke.

  3. Thanks for being there HighRiser. I am hoping that Copperwitch will put her special style to a description of our funny cocktail time the night before in the hotel bar.
First I wanted a Fluffy Duck (I know, I know, don't laugh) and the barman didn't know which bottle was advokaat, then it took an hour for a bowl of wedges to arrive, and when they finally did he tried to tell me they were not mine. I just sound like I am whining, but Coppy could make it sound hilarious.

  4. Hopefully she will Ann. What a generational divide, those of us who know what is in a fluffy duck, and those who don't.

  5. a Fluffy Duck was the first fancy drink I ever had - a Sixties equivalent of vodka cruiserz - on my first day of work, the smart alecs in the bank took me to Billy Duncans pub for a counter-y and plied me with them, so I was a 50-kilo tipsy teenager for my first afternoon of employment. wouldn't happen these days of PC-ness.

  6. Surely seventies for a fluffy duck Em Stacks. But then I was in the country. Bit behind. I was 58kg when I started work. So good that we are still so trim.

  8. I'm jealous of your soiree. I know what a fluffy duck is (OMG I wrote duck with an "F" instead, very different) but I've never consumed one.
