What is a bus zone? I have no idea. There is no bus stop nearby.

  2. Not hard with the cemetery there is it Ann. Brighton Antique Dealer uses the bus to get to Joels. I have only been to Braghton once on the bus, but use my end of it often enough.

  3. Is it halfway along the cemetery wall? There used to be a bus stop there.

  4. No, it is near the Dandenong Road corner. If there is a bus stop half way along, I can only think it is traffic management to keep the bus left and give it a clear run and also not delay traffic behind when it would merge out into the right lane. A permanent clearway would do the same. But being a bus zone means a bus can park there too. Perhaps that is the key. Have you ever seen a bus zone before without there being a stop?

  5. I'm pretty sure there used to be a southbound bus stop on the south side of the Dandenong Road intersection, as I remember using it circa 1983-4 in year 7/8 when coming home from school.

There were also stops halfway down to Alma Road, and at Alma Road. They still exist, from the looks of Google Streetview.

  6. Ok Daniel but as you can see, there isn't one there now, the next being halfway to Alma Road. Between the bus zone and the bus stop is parking with clearway restrictions. I see bus zone is used for the next bus stop. I wonder if it is a hangover from when there was a bus stop at the south side of Dandy Road. Three stops between Dandy Road and Alma Road is excessive. It shall remain a mystery.
