Xmas Isle Disaster

I had half a mind to write a post about Abbott's boat phone, or perhaps something like 'well that might stop the boats'. That is, until I read The Age headline, 'Babies clinging to debris'.

  1. This is not party political, but ...

Babies don't cling to wreckage. That is an emotive headline unbecoming of The Age.

  2. Julie...they do if they're baby barnacles.

  3. It is emotive Julie and I guess I was pulling at the same strings. I suppose a two year old would cling though.

    Brian.......ah, forget it.

  4. Anonymous11:49 pm

It is all making me feel very very ill :(
What made it worse, was when I read an eye witness statement somewhere that said that some of the men that were floating and clinging onto some debris were sighted pushing the ladies and children away in efforts to claim the life jackets..and the women and children sunk to their death.
Sickening the whole lot of it. :(

  5. Hadn't heard that Cazzie. Bad!

  6. No, I had not heard that either, and you know what? I don't believe it. It may not be a lie, or a fabrication. It might just be the mind affected by the enormity of what it was seeing.

Or a tricky question asked for a journalist (sic) with an angle.

  7. Smacks a bit of throwing children overboard Julie.
