The Kerferd Road Wedding

Bogans in Australia, Chavs in the UK, what are they called in the US? Trailer Trash? We were having a quiet cup of coffee but our beach side locale was a desirable place for a photo shoot for a wedding, never mind the very strong breeze. The girls looked tarty, the blokes uncomfortable in their dinner suits, in the middle of the day. I said to R that one of these old bombs won't start. Sure enough, one had to be push started. Still, the cars did look great.

  2. We have a similar location in Sydney adjacent to the Harbour Bridge and with a view across to the Opera House where Japanese couples are photographed in full wedding gear and with vintage cars in shot. Apparently there are organised tours specifically for Japanese to fly in for their wedding day and straight out again.

  3. The social group that renovate those cars are a real contradiction. Mostly under-educated tradie types, etc, but with an attention to detail and panel beating skills par to none.

Go to a Hot Rod Show and be totally amazed.

  4. *sigh* I could look at those cars for ages...pity about the tarts cluttering up the insides of them most days ;)

Probably where R's sister was married Victor. Great location.

Bliss and Jayne, I am not fussed on hot rods. I prefer the old originals.

  7. Trailer trash would live in a house with wheels. The cars, on the other hand, would mostly be propped up with cement blocks and wouldn't travel anywhere.

These look more like hot-rodders to me.

  8. Bogans in suits are truly scary Keshi.

Yeah, I knew that Daisy Jo but I had to come up with something.

  9. That bloody exeloo of death is just to the left of those cars. Let's hope the poor bride didn't get caught short like I did.

  10. You hate bogans too? Who doesn't? I live next door to some and so far they're the only people I know who've actively made me intent on smashing their heads in with a breadstick.

  11. Yes I did spot it there Hawkeye. So that was the culprit.

I try not to hate Reuben, bogans have their place in society, but not nearby me.

  12. Indeed it was the culprit. We went to St Kilda pier this morning, and the facilities there were much nicer and more convenient. But I still hate public toilets.

  13. I so rarely use public toilets Hawkeye. I try to think well in advance.
