Is President of the Police Association Brian Rix, named in the OPI police inquiry, married to Shirley Hardy Rix, aunt of Marieke Hardy, blogger, tv/radio presenter, newspaper writer?
If so, the Hardy family, the most famous being Frank Hardy, author of Power Without Glory, continue a fine old tradition of controversy.
Could have totally the wrong end of the tree limb of course but I think not.

I do recall hearing Shirley's early morning reports with Red Symons on wireless during the overland trip.
I too recall her recounting the tale on the wireless. It took me a while to work out all the connections.
