Getting old and forgetful #25

For the past decade, no one has ever seen me without my mobile phone. Not that I ever really need and it seldom rings. Today I went out for an hour without my phone. The slight feeling of panic quickly passed when I realised I had just left it at home. So long as I was not involved in a hideous accident, I would be ok without it for an hour. And I was, and there were no missed calls.

  1. It's almost like habit carrying certain items around. You always expect them to be in a certain place and then panic when it's not there and then realise that you actually put it somewhere else or left it behind in the car or at home.
